ECUSBF – Research-and-testing ECU platform

Experimental platform for ECU BIN file analysis and testing change-transfer algorithms

ECUSBF is a research-and-testing platform for evaluating algorithms based on mathematical rules, used to compare similar ECU BIN files and experimentally replicate changes between them. The project is developmental in nature and is also intended to gather feedback from practitioners to further improve the tool.

ℹ️ Experimental version / BETA The platform operates in experimental / BETA mode. Its purpose is to test the quality, limitations and repeatability of algorithms and to collect user feedback. The payment system may operate in evaluation mode. Generated results are technical in nature and require independent assessment, verification and acceptance by the user before any use. The platform is not intended to disable, circumvent or weaken emission-control systems or other vehicle systems required by applicable laws.

The platform is experimental and research-and-testing in nature. Generated results require independent verification before any use.

How the platform works

  1. Upload three ECU BIN files: a reference file, a modified file and a target file
  2. Run difference analysis and block matching
  3. Review the detected modifications table (MT) and map visualisations
  4. Assess the algorithm output and approve selected changes
  5. Download the experimental output file for further independent verification

Key features

  • Comparison of ECU binary files
  • Experimental analysis of differences and matches between similar binaries
  • Rule-based transfer of selected changes between files
  • Visualisation of the modification table and map charts
  • Isolated processing of input files
  • Test environment for evaluating algorithm quality and collecting feedback
